Grammar, yes I did notice my "a vs. an" mistake even before I clicked on the post button, but honestly, I was just plain lazy & left it like that! Oh well, I needed to head home from work & that is no excuse, but... Now it is just about time for a shower & bed...

Wow you girls go all out, what cut throat. Im new to this board, but wow what a bunch of attitude! I read your posts Mary and you seemed pretty nice till the end. I think that I wouldnt have responded to Janettes the way you did, if at all, but good for you for saying something. Im an animal lover and didnt get the impression your against activists or that you hate animals. I dont know what it is that the woman here think you dont understand. I think you got it, if your using the fish for something, take care of them! I think that Janette did come across as if she was out to stand on her pedastool and put you in "your" (is that the right grammer?) place thats not on her level. I think that the conversation was done a long time ago and that many of you take this too seriously.

who had the problem with "your" being "You're" and the rest of that grammer correctiveness? What kind of board is this? Seems like your all either trying to really pick on people. Why is it necessary to let people know what is wrong with thier grammer? I for one dont really give a hoot. Im no college graduate, and Im not posting things for a grade so it seems a little strange that you all are so rude about such things. Are we posting things to impress? Are we here to piss each other off? Some of you really seem clicky, like High School clicky, and Im not saying all of you, but geeze cant we just all get along!

You guys are hysterical. I just can't get that fired up over centerpieces - whether it be fish, flowers or frankfurters. :)

I think that proper grammAr makes a better statement. When someone spells Your when they mean You're ( I mean over and over, not just typeos) and when they use Their when they mean there, those things reflect on the statement they are trying to make. It does not seem as educated, and therefore, I personally don't take as much stock in it. Just my opinion. That is the way I was raised. I have mentioned this on the "Not for the Easily Offended" post! Pet peeve of mine~

Well then Carol, for God's sake, can't you even spell "typos" right? Wow, and what's with the grammar police, anyway? Picky, picky. torif, I'm glad to see someone has retained their sense of humor! Mary - you just think your s**t doesn't stink. Trust me, it does. I can smell it from here. Honey, you need to learn how to recognize when someone is going off with their tongue firmly in their cheek.

Torif - You just gave me an idea fo centerpieces! I think I'll use flowers and frankfurters. That way after the guest finish admiring them for a sufficient amout of time they can eat them! Hey maybe they can eat the flowers too! I think I'll use empty gold fish bowls and the guest can pass them around and have a drink of water with their meal! Seriously, I agree with you. I can't get all riled up over something like this either! I say whatever floats your boat! Use fish if you want! I also see nothing wrong with letting them contribute to the food chain, but then I eat meat, too! Not fish, I don't like the taste! As for the grammar, I think you should always try to use correct grammar, but I get in a hurry typing sometimes and don't bother correcting myself, just a sign of laziness I suppose:)

Ann - I think that's a fabulous idea for centerpieces. But you'd have to have tofu dogs too for the vegetarians. One must be considerate of one's guests after all!
