We're using goldfish too, then feeding them to his dad's saltwater fish later. The pet shop told me to use distilled water for them.

Disrespectful? For what, stating my opinion? I have nothing against activists, I personally am an activist against abortion. We are all entitled to our beliefs, opinions and we certainly all represent different backrounds and posess different morals, and yes we "Activists" tend to be a "pain in the ass" towards those who take the contradictory side of things. But the fact is, its a free country and luckily we have a board like this to express our opinions. I just wish that some didnt come across so rude and holier than thou, but to each his own. I know it gets me going, and I actually enjoyed reading this thread!

All about attitude. You must be new to this board. We actually enjoy "discussions". We get terribly bored when there aren't any "discussions". Big difference between stating your opinions and showing disrespect for others' opinions. Wow, you know you CAN make your wish come true! Oops, I guess that was kind of sarcastic. I have been told before to get off my high horse, but I like horses & she didn't like it too much when I asked if she didn't like the crink in her neck from having to look up. :) I am a pretty darn good person & personally I judge people all of the time AND I don't see anything wrong with that. Interesting about your new "tude" towards "activists". It was a dirty word earlier. Interesting that we really have some of the same goals - Speaking for the lives of those who are unable to speak for themselves...Gotta love it!

Janette, I think your judgementalness must be a yearning of some loss of childhood esteem that leaves you to have such a "tude" about a message board discussion. Why dont you worry about your ownself instead of making heroic statements as if you own the board and have everyone loving you and patting you on the back for your daring activisim of calling me disrespectful. I thought Ive been quite nice about all your comments and I have respect for each one, but youve just struck my last nerve and I really hope you fall off the damn horse! From a conversation that starts off asking for ideas about decorating a fishbowl youve completely run off on a tangent accusing me, and I quote "showing disrespect for others' opinions". Oh so I shouldnt say anything that might offend Janette? Whatever! Were all entitile to our own opinions but its time to have an understanding that we all have different paradigms. We all have different perspectives, but your being a little too REACTIVE (and I am too at this point for writing this) but this whole thread I have been PROACTIVE! I was hoping to have a complete paradign shift experience to shed a different light on why your taking this so hard but I really cant understand why your taking such a stand of defending yourself and telling me about YOU liking horses, YOU thinking your a "pretty darn good person", YOU judge people and thats okay becuase YOU said so. Well good for you! You dont know me either, but I wont brag! :) And you can do whatever you want so you go head and tell everyone your judgemental and theres nothing wrong with that YOU GO GIRL! Let it all out! (Hows that sarcasism? Annoy you even more!) So for quoting "activists" Ive made it a "dirty word"??? Maybe you should go back and read the board a few more times so you can tick yourself off a little more. Your believing what you want to believe, I dont know how to read my post to take it as a "dirty" word (sorry to those of you who thought that) I didnt see that I wrote that anywhere. So Janette, go back, get yourself a little more fired up by reading into whats not there! Ah I LOVE THIS! That felt great!

Mary, I am sincerely sorry if it wasn't you who implied "activist" was a dirty word. I don't have time to go back right now, however, as you do, I do indeed dislike words attributed to me that aren't mine as I might have done with the "activist" word & I am so sorry if it wasn't you. (even though it IS my board & I can do what I want) :) Wow, I am heroic!! I can apologize. I guess I'm just not perfect yet... ps-I also own the road.

Mary, Take a pill. Why don't you do what you obviously do best and worry about YOURSELF. Honey, you want to talk about disrespect and attacking someone? Try re-reading your own post. We have examined this subject, from every angle, more than a few months ago. We talked about ways of doing such a center piece and all the pros and cons. We TRIED to pass on this insight (which obviously wasn't something you cared about). So knock off the calling any one of us holier than thou. We know what we're talking about. That doesn't make us any better, just knowledgeable. My personally expressed opinions were towards your extremely obvious flippant attitude. I would think being an abortion activist you would be more serious about, maybe not all, but most, forms of life. Or are you pro-life because that's what's in right now? While you're feeling great, I personally am not. Because you have made it painfully clear you still don't get it. And I think until you do some more research (and some growing up), you still won't get it.
