Threads : Goldfish in the centerpieces?

ok---so did anyone else happen accross "America's Funniest WEDDING Videos" a couple days ago? I laughed sooo hard...but my very favorite blooper was one involving doves.

The couple released 2 white doves after their ceremony. The woman held one and the man held another and then they'd release them at the same time and oh isn't it so romantic and symbolic etc... EXCEPT, in this case, the dove that the bride was holding had an upset tummy....and pooped,no....more like projectile pooped alllll down her white dress. It was so incredibly gross! She had a brown/green streak from her waist down to her ankles - it was alllll over the place. No way to cover that shit up! And think, she still had to go to her reception and dance and eat and have fun....covered in DOVE DIARREAH!

...just another vote in my book for NO LIVE ANIMALS at weddings....

I saw that too, Carol. At the time I thought, "The WB girls will love this one." I'm glad you remembered to post something about it. It was really gross.

I saw that one too. That would have sucked! Ha, good for them for doing that in the first place. Her dress must have been ruined. Can you imagine the smell.

The most funny wedding blooper I ever saw was a couple that were posing for pictures. Someone was making a wedding video for them and had microphones on the bride and groom. I guess the groom didn't realize that the camera and the mikes were on, when he leaned over to his bride and said, "I can't wait to get you out of that dress!" There's a memory for the wedding video! I howled my ass off.

Actually, depending on how he said it (and how she took it) that could be a very sexy and romantic thing to hear...

Ugh. Doves are basically pigeons, no? Histoplasmosis, anyone?

I saw "WB girl" show up in another thread today and just now figured out what it meant. It's concise, though I'm not sure if I like the association with a crappy TV network!

It also could have been a very bad thing to have to hear if it was said "I can't wait to get you OUT of that DRESS" as in, "you look terrible in that thing, I'd rather see you in your flannel pjs." ;)

Hey now, Andrea. Don't tell me you don't LOVE Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Dawson's Creek. And, I, personally, watch Popular religiously. OK, maybe not, but I will admit that I DO watch these shows, as well as Charmed, 7th Heaven, and Gross Pointe when I can't find anything else on. They're not so bad. ;) And, yes, I am a dork.

Dawson's Creek- love it but can't believe Joey gave it up to that icky boy Pacy!
Popular - THAT IS THE GREATEST SHOW! Totally a dark comedy!

and I admit, I like 7th Heaven....I am PROUD to admit I watch "The Creek" and Popular, but I am embarrassed that I like 7th Heaven!

Ugh, Carol, I know. What is she thinking?! I still think she'll marry Dawson. Is the show even still on? I haven't seen a tv in weeks.

And, Popular - you're right. It's hilarious. Especially to those of us who weren't in that crowd in high school. It seems so right on!

I actually watched it last night! I never get to watch TV either......my schedule before the wedding was crazy, and now after the wedding, it seems Kurt and I come home from work, eat, and go to the Home Depot for a couple of hours! Fixing up the house takes allll our time! But I make an exception for Dawson's Creek!

OK, I'm not as embarassed to ask this: Are there any Felicity fans out there??? I'm so bummed it's been off the air, but Jack & Jill is a good replacement for the time being. What hotties on that show!
