The only Idea that I am getting from this "idea" board is that you can only discuss topics that are "OK" with the obvious public or you get pummled and ridiculed. Sure, voice your opinion, but ladies, please don't make it so personal! I was really hoping to find peoples suggestions and ideas, I have found very few if any. Can we please stop hashing and brain-storm and help each other out? Thank you! ~ Melynnie

Here we go again. . . Melynnie-if you haven't found many ideas or suggestions, you aren't looking very hard. There are TONS of ideas on this board. TONS. And, I wasn't hashing - I was expressing an opinion. Fish poop at dinner is gross. My idea was to use glass floating fish. That would eliminate poop. Which, at dinner is gross. So, in this thread, you'll find and alternate idea and an opinion from me. If you just want the ideas, ignore the opinion. Big deal.

Here we are NOT going again.. This wasnt a personal finger pointing, I am talking general, not everyone made it personal, and yes, I did find wonderful ideas, in other parts of this site. I just feel bad for Mary (though I did not read thu ALL of the letters back and forth) asking for an opinion and she was pretty much hassled. But you are right, I can look elsewhere and I dont have to deal with any "hashing". I thank you for pointing that out. Aside of fish poop and drunken stoopers, I will continue to read through more ideas that everyone has here at this website. I thank you for your time! :) ~ Melynnie

For my prodi-gal themed wedding, we're thinking of having fatted calves as centerpieces ... what sort of favors would complement these?

Have you thought of newly hatched chicks? These would fit nicely into little baby food jars tied with a ribbon. he he

I feel Ox tails decorated with a dash of confetti (the glittery kind) would be quite nice

I think miniature pillars of salt would be appropriate.

hey, suz, how 'bout i hire about 10 "little people" and force them to dress up like elves for my winter wonderland wedding. i can have a makeshift toy factory at the reception. i'll tell the elves to form an assembly line and have them work at putting together my wedding favors. oh, and they must sing jolly x-mas carols as they work. any other thoughts?!?! since no one seems to be on the board today, i thought i should have some fun.

I don't think you'll have to force them to dress up if you pay them well. I think they do deserve to be paid for their efforts. The board was dead on Friday. I'm sorry I missed you!
