Threads : Goldfish in the centerpieces?

Not defensive...just crankiness and a really bad case of PMS. It came out a bit harsher than I intended it too. I was more grouchy about the whole subject rather than Taleah's response.

I'm just really fed up with brides. I have to deal with them and their ugly, tacky wedding flowers. So few are nice, most of the ones who are coming in lately have been nasty...

I think it's the "my day" attitude that so many have. They want to do whatever they want not caring whether or not their guests are happy or comfortable. And this goldfish thing is an illustration of it.

What's important here is the fact that it's more important to have an interesting centerpiece than one that wont cause a gross-out. This feeling is fueled by the fact that I have been to too many weddings that were uncomfortable.

People normally don't complain to the couple because they want to be polite. But so many people planning weddings don't take their guests into consideration.

If the person doing the arrangements does things correctly, the fish won't be harmed... but how many people would go through all the trouble for a 39˘ wedding accessory?

And even if they did, fish water can have an odour within a few hours of set up, and it can be quite nasty as I've already mentioned...

I'm just fed up. I think people should speak up and tell brides when their acting like spoiled brats.

Maybe a few will wake up... maybe not...

Yes, I am a bride... but I am embarrassed at times about it.

Is there a point to using live animals in your centerpeices? Don't mean to rehash but the question begs to be asked.

Do questions beg? I know live animals do, but sorry I can't hear it begging to be asked...(one of my ears is bad, so that must be it)

Was that a failed attempt at humor or sarcasm?

Sorry you couldn't understand the question. It was pretty simple...

Janette do you actually have an answer to my original question regarding the point of live animals in a centerpiece or are you just entertaining yourself with your half witted comments?

And the burning question now is: Who is going to get the last word in?
