Where are you having your Jr. Bridesmaid and flower girl during the ceremony? Will they stand with the wedding party or go sit with their parents? (My Jr. Bridesmaid is 9 and my flowergirl is 6)

I would think that the 6 year old would probably do best sitting in the front row. How long will your ceremony be?

Carol, To tell the truth I have no idea! It's a Catholic ceremony (no I'm not Catholic) 35min or less? We haven't really got all that worked out yet. We have to meet with the priest.

Catholic mass will probably be about 45 minutes. I'd have the 6 year old sit down if it is anything over 10-15 minutes. Six year olds are pretty squirmy. And get bored waaaaaaay easily! Maybe you can ask the 9 year old if she wants to stand up (make her feel grown up) or you could even suggest that she "take care" of the 6 year old and have them both sit in the front row. (that would make her feel grown up too!)

This past Sunday, we discussed this with our officiant. The bridesmaids, jr. bridesmaid (12) and groomsmen will be seated during the ceremony, up at the front. In seperate chairs, not the front pews. Up at the front of the church there are two steps, top one being the alter or platform whichever you what to call it. Mike and myself and our flowergirl(8) will be standing on the top step. My MOH and Mike's BM will be one step down and to the outerside of the two of us. The flowergirl will be standing beside my MOH, behind me. She's a pretty rambuncious(spl?) 8 year old, but I'm hoping, with Sheila right beside her and me infront of her, she will stay at least semi-still for most of the ceremony (arround 20-30 min. long). She knows my MOH pretty well, so the most I should have to worry about is her yakking through the ceremony. :-)
